Prompted by the arrival of our first intern, we are taking the opportunity to write up some other visits from the recent past as well. On Friday, 14 February 2025, a surprise we had not expected but were delighted by turned up at FabLab Hrvatska! We were visited by Ricardo, the coordinator of Fablab Angostura from Argentina. Ricardo came to Zagreb to surprise us and to see whether FabLab really operates or is just a dot on the @fablabs.io map. His arrival was not just a friendly visit but an opportunity to strengthen the ties between the FabLab communities of South America and Europe. During his stay, Ricardo shared with us his experience of developing FabLab culture in Argentina, the challenges they face and the inspiring projects coming out of his own FabLab. We talked about the possibilities for future cooperation, knowledge exchange and joint projects that would bring our regions closer together. This unexpected visit is further proof of how strong the FabLab network is and how we share the same passion for innovation, education and making things together. We look forward to future collaborations and to the opportunities that will grow out of this remarkable encounter.
