European Makers Week 30.05.-05.06.2016.

For the first time this year, MakersFair Rome, in cooperation with Startup Europe, will try to bring the activities and the importance of the makers community closer to a wider audience by organising activities as part of the European Makers Week (EMW), which will run from Monday 30 May 2016to Saturday 5 June 2016.

Through its long-running activities under the name “3D Printing Open Days“, FabLab has been involving makers, innovators and everyone else interested, particularly so last year. We were therefore delighted to accept the invitation to promote and support this initiative in Croatia.

We invite the whole maker community in Croatia to join us and organise events during this week that popularise maker culture.

We especially invite all primary and secondary schools in Croatia to join this initiative and organise an activity connected with European Makers Week at their school. FabLab will include every school that joins this year’s EMW activity in the Create an object in every school project, within its own FabLab@School activities. If you are interested but are not sure how you could take part in this initiative, get in touch with us or look for information on the European Makers Week website http://europeanmakerweek.eu/.

We also invite other institutions and associations whose activities are connected with the makers community to join in and organise some kind of event.

Individuals who are interested in taking part are also welcome to get in touch and join the event we will be organising in Zagreb.
