From 15 to 17 October 2021 the first study visit was held within the STEMerica project, whose aim is to strengthen the capacity of the staff of the participating organisations to prepare and deliver STEM popularisation programmes.

The study visit was hosted by the Višnjan Astronomical Society, whose staff shared their knowledge and experience with representatives of the FabLab, Bioteka and Connect-IT associations and of the Faculty of Architecture, explaining their working methods, the history of their work and their plans for the future. 

The programme also included a round table on the future of STEM popularisation. 

We also used the visit to begin work on a science installation in Višnjan.
