When we founded FabLab Zagreb in 2013, we were inspired by Fab Lab Barcelona. In 2015, at the beginning of the Make-IT project, we met Tomas Diez, the founder of Fab Lab Barcelona, and we officially became part of Fablabs.io. With the support of Fab Lab Barcelona, the City of Zagreb joined the Fab City Global Initiative in Paris in 2018. Over the past almost 10 years we have visited Fab Lab Barcelona on several occasions, and we collaborate on many projects and activities.

This Saturday, representatives of Fab Lab Barcelona, Santi Fuentemilla and Xavi Dominguez, visited us here at FabLab Zagreb, where we went through the projects we are working on together, such as the Centrinno EU project, coordinated activities around Centrinno School, discussed community building through our STEMerica project, and presented and connected the activities of the BIOPLAnet project.

Fab Lab Barcelona’s visit to our Fab Lab is a very important moment for our cooperation so far, but also for the future, and we look forward to further progress and to the projects ahead!
