The ProtoGreen project

FabLab members spent July in Ljubljana at a two-week training course and youth exchange organised and run by Zavod 404.

The Erasmus+ project “ProtoGreen” was built around two main parts – a theoretical, educational part and a practical, thematic one. In the educational part, participants attended lectures, workshops and exercises on topics such as 3D modelling, 3D printing, vector drawing, operating a laser cutter, a soldering and welding workshop, Arduino programming and similar.

🛠️

The practical part was called “Magic Garden”, and participants worked in groups to build creations for the perfect relaxation garden at Zavod 404😊 The group tasks were to build a table (a cat house), chairs, gardens and vegetable patches, a hive for solitary bees, and decorative garden lighting. Participants were given free rein for their imagination, with the constraint that most of the material used had to be either recycled or destined for waste🍀

You can find all the projects and instructions on how to build them at https://www.instructables.com/.

We had a great and genuinely useful time – take a look at how it went and try your own hand at some of these little projects! 🌼
