At the Fab City Summit held during the Fab conference in Paris in 2018, Zagreb became part of the Fab City Global Initiative – then as one of 28 cities alongside Barcelona, Amsterdam and Paris, while today the network takes in 54 cities and regions.

Although FabLab Hrvatska, as the initiative’s lead together with the University of Zagreb | Faculty of Architecture and other partners, has had various ideas at city level, none of them have come to life so far.

We have had European projects too; we worked on the former Sljeme factory through the Centrinno EU Project as well, and we are waiting for things to get moving.

The global FabCity conference will be close by this year, in Prague as part of the Fab25 conference (https://fab25.cz), and it is a chance for representatives of Croatian cities to see first-hand what the initiative’s other cities are doing.
