New European Bauhaus is an interdisciplinary and creative movement that brings together science, technology and engineering with culture and the arts, and the aim of the initiative is to bring the citizens of Europe together to imagine, and take part in creating, a new and better future built on sustainability and inclusion.

One of the co-elements of the NEB initiative is NEB Lab – a space for cooperation, at the service of the New European Bauhaus initiative and of sustainable and inclusive projects aimed at improving the everyday life of local communities. NEB Lab is where the NEB initiative is translated directly into concrete projects and activities. The idea behind NEB Lab rests on high-quality networking between individuals, on sharing knowledge with one another and on learning from one’s own and other people’s experience.

The two main missions of NEB Lab are:
• to create enabling conditions for the green transition (new tools, frameworks for action, proposals for changes to local policies and the like), and
• to start and drive a visible and tangible transformation of everyday life.

The structure of NEB Lab is based on project teams self-organising around activities that bring improvement to a particular place in a specific context. For a project proposal to genuinely become a real NEB Lab project, it is essential that it has a clear purpose, transparency of goals and of the processes used to reach them, and well-defined end users.

NEB Lab is a space that keeps the mindsets, missions and visions of all the individuals and projects involved aligned, and it is guided by the principles of the New European Bauhaus. NEB Lab supports the development of projects by challenging proposals, by connecting projects with the community and with institutions for additional support, and by bridging local action with the European and international dimension. Finally, it offers space for projects on a dedicated online platform, along with mentoring and communication support.

We are extremely pleased to have become one of the partners of NEB Lab, and we look forward to the cooperation ahead and hope for positive change in our local community too!
