From Mountain Makers to Zagreb: another meeting through the VULCA network
At FabLab Zagreb we once again had the pleasure of hosting a member of the international maker community, Francisco Sayas Doménech – known as Paco – whom we first met last year at the Mountain Makers in Manzat event in France, through the international VULCA network.
For many years Francisco ran Hackerspace Castellón in Spain, one of the well-known hackerspaces dedicated to open technologies, digital fabrication and knowledge sharing. Currently on a sabbatical in Germany, Francisco visited our FabLab during a trip through the region taking in Ljubljana, Zagreb, Graz and Vienna.
The visit was an opportunity to continue the collaboration begun through the VULCA community and to exchange experiences of running makerspaces, of local community development, of open technologies and of future possibilities for international cooperation.
It is always a pleasure when meetings like this strengthen our ties with members of the international maker community and let us exchange knowledge that contributes to the development of the FabLab network and the innovation ecosystem.
Thank you to Francisco for the visit – we look forward to meeting again at one of the future international events! 🌍🤝
