🌍 An international gathering at FabLab Hrvatska 🌍 Yesterday we were delighted to host three members of the international VULCA community, Vulca – European Program – Tajda Novšak from Slovenia, Selena Pere from France and Tauan Bernardo from Brazil. Their visit to FabLab Hrvatska was a chance to exchange experience and new ideas and to talk about how openness, creativity and cooperation can build strong and inclusive communities. Besides FabLab itself, we showed our guests some of the places where over recent years we have been developing various initiatives and bringing communities together across Croatia. We visited the former Sljeme factory in Sesvete, a space gradually becoming a place of encounter, making and new opportunities, as well as CENTAR KREATIVNOSTI I ZNANOSTI GROBNIK where a range of activities are opening up possibilities for learning, connecting and developing the local community. We have left a few more special locations for another time, among them the former Društvo Naša djeca building on the island of Prvić, and other places where FabLab, together with partners and local communities, is developing new ideas and initiatives. We are especially glad that our guests are part of the VULCA community, an international network bringing together individuals, makerspaces and organisations committed to cooperation, knowledge exchange and the development of open and inclusive communities. We are proud that FabLab is part of that story too, and that through its representatives on the VULCA board it actively contributes to the network’s further development. The day passed in great spirits, with plenty of conversation, inspiring ideas and shared moments. We also took our guests on a small excursion, and to finish we enjoyed a beautiful sea view together.
