While part of the FabLab crew spent the weekend in Prague at the Maker Faire, the other part spent it in beautiful Slavonia. On 16 and 17 September the second BrodTech was held in Slavonski Brod – a conference at which exhibitors from all over Croatia presented their innovations. FabLab and our partner association the Institute of Entrepreneurial Education and Innovation presented their STEMerica and BIOPLAnet projects. Under STEMerica, FabLab’s stand let visitors play music on bananas using a Makey Makey circuit, and they could solve puzzles using the grille cipher. At the BIOPLAnet stand visitors could see the end results of making bioplastic and the production of buttons, rulers, spinning tops and the like from the caps of empty plastic bottles. Participation and exhibiting at the event was made possible within the STEMerica project. The total value of the project is HRK 2,825,482.33. The project was co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund through the call „Strengthening the capacities of civil society organisations for the popularisation of STEM“ in the amount of HRK 2,401,659.98.“ The content of this post is the sole responsibility of the Fablab association. #fablabhr #stemerica
