The TTF and FabLab collaboration continues this year too!

The collaboration between FabLab Zagreb and the Faculty of Textile Technology of the University of Zagreb continues this year too, through joint educational and research activities.

On Wednesday 11 February 2026 a biomaterials workshop was held – another example of how we bring together science, design and technology in hands-on work with students. Through experimentation, the development of new materials and an interdisciplinary approach, students get to learn by making, exploring sustainable solutions and innovative approaches to the materials of the future.

This collaboration confirms how important it is to connect academia with open laboratories and the makerspace environment, where ideas turn into prototypes and knowledge into concrete results.

The workshop was attended by undergraduate students of the Faculty of Textile Technology of the University of Zagreb, as well as two students from Italy who came to Zagreb under the Erasmus+ short-term learning mobility programme.

The workshop was organised and led by Prof. art. Helena Schultheis Edgeler.

We are looking forward to new projects, workshops and joint steps forward in the field of sustainable materials and creative technologies.
