New European Bauhaus: beautiful, sustainable, together is an interdisciplinary and creative movement that joins science, technology and engineering with culture and art, and the aim of the initiative is to bring the citizens of Europe together to imagine and help create a new and better future based on sustainability and inclusion.

One of the co-elements of the NEB initiative is the NEB Lab – a space for cooperation, in the service of the New European Bauhaus initiative and of sustainable and inclusive projects aimed at improving the everyday life of local communities. The NEB Lab is the place where the NEB initiative is implemented directly into concrete projects and actions. The idea of the NEB Lab is founded on high-quality connections between individuals, on sharing knowledge with each other and on learning from one’s own and other people’s experience.

The two main missions of the NEB Lab are:
• to create enabling conditions for the green transition (new tools, frameworks for action, proposals for changes to local policies and the like), and
• to start and set in motion a visible and tangible transformation of everyday life.

The structure of the NEB Lab is the self-organisation of project teams working to bring improvement to a particular place in a specific context. For a proposal to truly become a real NEB Lab project, it is essential that it ensures a clear purpose, transparency of goals and of the processes for reaching them, and well-defined end users.

The NEB Lab is a space that ensures alignment of the mindsets, missions and visions of all the individuals and projects involved, and it is guided by the principles of the New European Bauhaus. It supports the development of projects by challenging proposals, connecting projects with the community and with institutions for additional support, and bridging local action with the European and international dimension. Finally, it offers space for projects on a dedicated online platform, along with mentoring and communication support.

We are extremely pleased to have become one of the NEB Lab partners and we look forward to the cooperation ahead, hoping for positive change in our local community too!
