Maker Faire Zagreb (2022)

This autumn FabLab is organising the fourth Maker Faire Zagreb, which will be held on 1 and 2 October at the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum!

For those who don’t know, Maker Faire is part science fair, part local community fair and part something completely new. It is a gathering place for technology enthusiasts, artisans, educators, craftspeople, hobbyists and amateurs, engineers and artists of every profile – in short, Maker Faire is a convention of makers 😊

The idea behind Maker Faire had been around for many years, but the event itself was started by Make magazine in 2006 in the Bay Area, i.e. Silicon Valley.

Maker Faire is primarily designed to be future-oriented, showcasing makers exploring new forms and new technologies. Maker Faire represents innovation and experimentation across the spectrum of science, engineering, art, performance, and craft.

Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and love to share what they can do. It is a place where makers show examples of their work and talk about it with others. There is a particular focus on DIY activities that usually fall outside the scope of traditional art, science or craft events. Maker Faire makes visible these projects and ideas that we do not come across every day.

If you work on similar projects, this is your opportunity to show them to others and take part in Maker Faire Zagreb 2022! Fill in the application form (https://zagreb.makerfaire.com/call-for-makers/) and start preparing your creations 🙂

We invite all of you to join us on 1 and 2 October at the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum and spend a creative weekend with us! 😃
