Besides the EU projects that made international connection and networking possible, individuals from several European centres have been involved from the start – from Scifablab and Vulca – European Program to the Fab City Global Initiative. Thanks to Tomas Diez of Fab Lab Barcelona, who brought us into the FabCity initiative, we got the idea of creating self-sufficient spaces in remote areas. Matias Verderau of Lichen Innovación Social was the first person with whom the idea of creating a centre on an island was shared, and he is still involved in delivering it today. Bojan Baletić, the current dean of the University of Zagreb | Faculty of Architecture, was reserved at first, but with the appearance of the New European Bauhaus: beautiful, sustainable, together initiative, which follows most of the same footholds as Adriatic GreenLab, he is becoming more actively involved.

We would like to take this occasion to thank all the individuals involved who have contributed to the development and realisation of this initiative.
