Adriatic GreenLab is an initiative that grew out of a visit to FabLab Barcelona and GreenLab Valldaura back in 2018, and every effort to make it happen builds on the experience of earlier EU projects such as MAKE-IT, FabLabNet, DOIT Europe and the Centrinno EU Project, as well as on the FabLab association’s national work on the SCOPE, STEMerica and BIOPLAnet projects, all of which are woven into the overarching AGL initiative.

In addition, in 2018 FabLab brought the City of Zagreb on board, and in 2020 it helped the City of Zadar become part of FabCity, the global network of locally self-sufficient, globally connected cities whose premise is an indispensable part of this idea and movement.
