From 12 to 22 October 2022, representatives of FabLab Croatia took part in Bali Fab Fest at the Jimbaran Hub in Bali, Indonesia, an event that combined the 17th Fab Lab conference (FAB17) and the 7th Fab City Summit.

The festival was jointly organised by the Fab Foundation, the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms, the Fab City Foundation and the local Meaningful Design Group, and was held under the theme “Designing Emergent Realities”. Its goal was to begin turning Bali into the first “Fab Island” — a self-sufficient island ecosystem.

More than 500 participants from over 33 countries gathered, more than 85 talks and 93 workshops were held, and Fab Lab Bali was founded as a lasting outcome of the festival.
