🔹 DiSTT Module 3 – Gimnazija Nova Gradiška (final in-person meeting) 🔹 On 26 March 2026 the last in-person meeting of Module 3 – “Digital bodies – 3D bodies” was held at Gimnazija Nova Gradiška During the session the students got to see a 3D scanning demonstration, further connecting the digital and physical worlds and understanding how a 3D model is produced from a real object. They also started their first 3D print, taking them through the whole process from idea to physical product. They also collected their 3D keyrings, which they had modelled themselves in Onshape at the previous meeting, successfully rounding off their first concrete digital modelling task. In the rest of the session we worked on developing their own models, with an emphasis on more advanced features such as: *creating an enclosure and its features *applying fillets *making slots and joints *using symmetric and opposite-direction extrudes *and other features that allow better and more precise work in a CAD environment The aim was to equip the students to model as independently as possible, with mentor support. This meeting concluded the in-person work of Module 3, and in the next phase they can expect: *consultations with the mentor *further work on the project assignment *preparing the model for the final print The students will submit their final models to the mentor, after which their solutions will be 3D printed.
