🔹 DiSTT Module 3 – Nova Gradiška Grammar School (final in-person session) 🔹

On 26 March 2026 the last in-person session of Module 3 – “Digital bodies – 3D bodies” was held at Nova Gradiška Grammar School.

During the workshop participants had the chance to see a 3D scanning demonstration, further connecting the digital and physical worlds and understanding how a 3D model is created from a real object. They also started their first 3D print, taking them through the whole process from idea to physical product.

Participants also collected their 3D keyrings, which they had modelled themselves in Onshape at the previous session, successfully rounding off their first concrete digital modelling task.

In the rest of the workshop we worked on developing their own models, with an emphasis on more advanced features such as:

• building an enclosure and its features
• applying fillets
• creating slots and joints
• using symmetric and opposite-direction extrude
• and other features that allow better and more precise work in a CAD environment

The aim was to enable pupils to work as independently as possible on modelling, with mentor support.

This session brought the in-person work of Module 3 to a close; in the next phase participants can expect:

• consultations with a mentor
• further work on the project assignment
• preparing models for the final print

Pupils will submit their final models to their mentor, after which their solutions will be 3D printed.
