DiSTT: Module 4 – Smart Interactions with 18 grammar school students

The FabLab association, working with its members and with the support of the INNCRO-IT association , continues running the Designing the Future Academy (DFA) sessions as part of the DiSTT – Digital Skills Transformation for Tomorrow project in Slavonia! 🔧💡 This week, with 18 grammar school students, we entered Module 4 – Smart Interactions and took a real step towards the world of smart systems. By revisiting and extending the material we consolidated the basics of the DC circuit, conductors/insulators and safe working practice, and then moved on to the most exciting part: microcontrollers, sensors and programming. 🤖 The students got their first “hands-on” contact with the Arduino environment – they saw what a sketch looks like, what setup() and loop() are, how a program is uploaded to the device, and through simple tasks began controlling functions on the microcontroller (first steps towards interactive prototypes!). 💻 A big thank you to the students for their energy, curiosity and the great atmosphere – it is a pleasure to work with young people who are not afraid to ask, to try, to get it wrong and then learn even more. 🙌 Special thanks go to the Gimnazija “Matija Mesić” secondary school and all the school staff for their hospitality and for the chance to build young people’s digital and technical competences together in your space. 🤝 The next meetings are already scheduled for next week; we cannot wait for the continuation and for the new ideas they will turn into functional prototypes! 💪 More at: https://www.fablab.hr/dfa-radionice-u-sklopu-distt-projekta/
