The Erasmus+ Short-term learning mobility exchange programme at Fablab Zagreb has come to an end. After five intensive and creative weeks, the Erasmus+ Short-term learning mobility programme has been successfully completed; at Fablab Zagreb we hosted two students from Italy, Alessia and Sara Postinghel from the Polo Giuseppe Veronesi school (Rovereto). During the exchange they took an active part in the work of Fablab through: 🔵3D modelling and working with advanced software 🔵3D printing and model post-production 🔵woodworking and using the Shaper tool 🔵understanding design processes – from idea to realisation 🔵working in a safe and professional makers environment A special emphasis was placed on hands-on work, on combining work at the computer with work by hand, which allowed a deeper understanding of how machines and tools function in real projects. They described the work at Fablab as very creative, interactive and educational; here is what they said about the whole experience: ➡️ They particularly valued the calm, safe and collaborative working environment, free of pressure. ➡️They highlighted the professional yet encouraging atmosphere that fosters teamwork and communication. ➡️ They stressed how much hands-on learning meant to them – for instance, shaping wood by hand before working on the machine, so as to understand the process better. ➡️ The freedom to work with 3D printers and new software gave them room for creativity and for developing new skills. ➡️The exchange gave them a sense of greater independence, professional growth and personal development.
