FabLab invites you to the Open Day at Dugo Selo Secondary School
We invite everyone interested to the Open Day at Dugo Selo Secondary School, where the school activities, the enrolment programme and other information will be presented. A number of associations will also take part with engaging, interactive STEM content.
Saturday, 11 April 2026 | 10:00 – 14:00 | Dugo Selo Secondary School, Stjepana Ferenčaka 25
Visitors can look forward to workshops, demonstrations of new technologies, 3D printers, robots, experiments and educational content that bring the world of science, technology, engineering and mathematics closer in a practical and engaging way.
The event is aimed at pupils, parents and anyone interested in innovation, learning and developing new skills through a modern STEM approach.
Civil society organisations taking part in the event will present different approaches to learning through technology, experimentation and innovation:
- FabLab – working with digital technologies such as 3D printers, and applying technical and logical models through educational games and hands-on examples
- IPOI – making DIY bioplastic, getting to know types of plastic and examples of recycling and reusing materials
- Nikola Tesla Network – the Tesla STEM Academy: demonstrations of Tesla coils, plasma balls, robots and 3D models
- UPB (Profesor Baltazar Association) – the mobile multimedia ZEZ centre and modern tools for producing multimedia content
- IPZ – AI STEM educators: an introduction to artificial intelligence and its use in everyday life
- Virtualci – Da Vinci laboratory: getting to know the inventions of Leonardo da Vinci by building replicas of them
- SFERIA – the theremin (an instrument that produces sound without being touched) and a physics balance challenge with 32 forks
- Akcelerator – a drone-flying arena and an exoskeleton demonstration
- Krijesnica – Mission: Superorganism – a STEM approach to health topics
- Gradionica – physics experiments with LEGO bricks and interaction with LEGO robots
- INNCRO-IT – applying modern technologies and showing STEM in practice
The activities run by FabLab Zagreb are aimed at developing digital competences, innovation and an interest in science and technology through hands-on work with modern tools and technologies, including 3D modelling, electronics and a maker approach to learning.
With the aim of strengthening local STEM ecosystems and encouraging cooperation between civil society organisations, educational institutions and the local community, the activities are delivered within the project “STEM as a driver of development”, with the support of the Thematic Systemic Support scheme of the National Foundation for Civil Society Development.
All interested pupils, parents and members of the public are invited to visit the event and discover the opportunities STEM offers for developing knowledge, skills and future careers.
