Dale Dougherty is the originator of the Maker Faire idea and movement, which opened a major chapter of the maker world in 2006 with the very first MF event in San Mateo, California. Although there was not much talk of maker culture until then, the first MF drew over 20,000 visitors and confirmed to Dougherty right away that something big and lasting had indeed begun!

It is a great honour for us to have had the chance to meet the founder of the Maker Faire movement, and we hope to host them at Maker Faire Zagreb one day 😀
