Visit by representatives of the ZAM organisation from Erlangen

Over the past weekend, FabLab was visited by the heads of the ZAM (Zentrum für Austausch und Machen, Betreiberverein Makerspace für Erlangen e.V.) organisation from Erlangen, Julian Hammer and Daniele Novac. ZAM brings together several aspects of maker culture and is active in working with young artists. During the pandemic, the city granted them the use of a new space of over 3,500 m² for their activities.

The visit was an opportunity to exchange experiences and information about project activities, and to discuss possible areas of cooperation on projects, mutual visits between members of the two organisations, and other forms of collaboration.

This is not our first contact with Julian and Daniele: Tin, a FabLab member, met them last year during a visit to France at the invitation of the Vulca organisation. Julian is also, together with the FabLab president, a member of an international working group launched by the French Ministry of Territorial Cohesion on the subject of improving third places.
