STEM sessions at Dugo Selo Secondary School with Erasmus+ guests

On Friday, 6 March, at Srednja škola Dugo Selo STEM sessions were held as part of the Erasmus+ programme. On that occasion the school hosted students from Austria, Germany, Luxembourg and Romania, who came to Croatia for new experiences and knowledge. The sessions were run in collaboration with FabLab Zagreb and brought together around 25 students from Croatia and the partner countries. Through hands-on activities the students got to know the world of 3D printing and digital design and explored how technology can help solve everyday problems. Especially interesting was the DIY bioplastic-making session, where the students talked and learned about types of plastic, recycling and sustainable alternatives, and saw through their own experiments how bioplastic can be made. It all unfolded in a great atmosphere, with plenty of learning, socialising and exchange of ideas among the students from different countries.
