🔹 DiSTT Module 2 – “Matija Mesić” Grammar School (final in-person session) 🔹

On 27 March 2026 the last in-person session of Module 2 – “Patterns with purpose – 2D technologies” was held with pupils of “Matija Mesić” Grammar School.

This session was marked by an emphasis on independent work and applying what they had learned, with pupils:

• operating the diode laser on their own
• preparing files and programs for cutting and engraving
• fabricating parts of their own projects
• and additionally using a pyrography pen to add patterns and detail to the objects they made

Through hands-on work the pupils successfully connected theory and practice and showed an understanding of 2D shapes, patterns and digital fabrication, using the laser as the main tool for realising their ideas.

This session concluded the in-person work of Module 2; what follows is:

• independent work on the project assignment
• individual and team consultations with a mentor
• refining and improving their solutions

Pupils will submit their final work to their mentor, after which evaluation and the further development of the project follow.
